Ambassador Téte António, Minister of External Relations, received the South Korean government's special envoy for Africa, Ambassador Jin-Wook Hong, in Nairobi on 14 July 2023.

At the meeting, the two entities discussed issues related to the reactivation of bilateral cooperation with emphasis on the implementation of legal instruments previously initiated between the parties.

The meeting also worked as an opportunity for the two entities to discuss the programme of reciprocal visits at the highest level, the special Korea-Africa Summit scheduled for May 2024 and Expo-Busan 2030.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Sianga Abílio, Ambassador of Angola and Permanent Representative of Angola to the UN Offices in Nairobi and, on the South Korean side, by Mr. Guillaume Barthe-Dejean, Vice-President of SK, the country's second largest business group after Samsung.
